Shannon has spent more than 16 years helping singers and performers grow with healthy technique, thoughtful artistry, and greater confidence.
She holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Voice Performance and has trained and performed in opera, musical theatre, classical, choral, jazz, and contemporary settings. Her experience also includes leading masterclasses, coaching auditions and performance skills, and adjudicating young artists.
Most importantly, Shannon believes lessons should feel encouraging, collaborative, and personal. She meets each student where they are and builds lessons around their goals, interests, and individual voice.
Shannon believes great teaching is about more than getting the notes right. Students should understand how their voice works, feel free to make creative choices, and develop the confidence to communicate with purpose.
Shannon’s teaching style is inviting, intentional, and fun. Lessons are designed to meet students where they are, encourage curiosity, and help them grow with both confidence and purpose.
No two students are exactly alike. Shannon shapes each lesson around your goals, experience, interests, and the way you learn best.
Lessons are a place to explore, experiment, and understand the “why” behind what you’re learning — without pressure or embarrassment.
Students are encouraged to take creative risks, try new approaches, and discover what feels authentic rather than simply copying someone else.
Healthy technique is never taught in isolation. Shannon connects technical skills to the music, character, speech, or performance goal you’re working toward.
Whether you’re singing, acting, auditioning, or speaking in front of others, thoughtful preparation helps turn nerves into greater confidence.
Shannon sees teaching as a collaboration. Wins are celebrated, challenges are worked through together, and every lesson moves toward goals that matter to you.
Shannon brings years of performance, teaching, coaching, and adjudication experience into the studio — giving students practical guidance that goes far beyond basic technique.
Shannon has performed in opera, musical theatre, symphonic, choral, worship, and classical settings, bringing real-world performance experience into every lesson.
Shannon has led masterclasses and workshops in vocal technique, acting for singers, performance anxiety, and audition technique.
From song interpretation to audition preparation, Shannon helps students make confident choices, communicate clearly, and feel more prepared when it matters most.
Her experience includes adjudicating young vocal artists and mentoring students as they grow from developing performers into more confident, independent artists.
Students come to Anthem Voice Studio with different goals, experience levels, and interests — but every lesson is built around helping them grow with greater skill, confidence, and joy.
“Shannon has helped me become so much more comfortable singing. She’s taught me exercises that have helped develop a clearer, richer sound while introducing me to repertoire I never knew about. She’s a very fun and encouraging teacher, and I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to grow as a singer!”
