Starting something new should feel exciting, not confusing. Here are answers to a few of the questions students and families ask most before beginning lessons with Shannon.
Not at all! Beginners are absolutely welcome. Shannon works with students at many different ages and experience levels, from first-time singers and performers to students preparing for auditions and more advanced goals. Lessons begin with where you are right now and build from there.
Shannon works with kids, teens, and adults. Lessons are personalized to the student’s age, learning style, interests, and goals, so a young beginner’s lesson will feel very different from coaching for a teen audition or an adult returning to singing.
A lot! Depending on your goals, lessons may include voice, acting, public speaking, audition preparation, song interpretation, performance skills, healthy vocal technique, confidence, and performance-anxiety strategies. Shannon will help shape each lesson around what matters most to you.
Yes! Online lessons make it possible to receive personalized one-on-one coaching from home while still getting real-time feedback, exercises, demonstrations, and individual attention. All you need is a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone, and a comfortable place to work.
A 30-minute lesson is a great starting point for many beginners and younger students, or anyone who prefers a focused session.
A 60-minute lesson gives us more time for deeper technique work, repertoire, acting, audition preparation, or multiple goals in one session.
